game wont start and these guys have had plenty of time to fix this but they won’t. Its been like 2-3 months

This game could’ve been much better optimized. Running late 2011 MacBook pro with 8gb ram and standard graphics card. It lags terribly throughout, the mouse sensitivity settings are terrible...

For those of you that downloaded the game before the infamous 1.0.3. update, (roughly back in November 2014) you can retrieve version 1.0.2. (the one that works) only if you have ever backed up your computer on Time Machine, iCloud, or an external hardrive. Search Grand Theft Auto’ until you find version 1.0.2. in the description of the file. Copy or re-download those files, and put them on your desktop or something. Then, you can delete version 1.0.3. from your computer as it no longer serves any purpose. Good luck

It closes with some kind of error when I try to load saved games.

Whenever I attempt to load again and it gives me a black screen that I cannot exit without restarting my computer.

Afer the latest software update a few months back, this game no longer works. As soon as it’s done loading from previously saved game, the screen goes black and I have to restart my computer. HELP PLZ!

It’s nice to pay for something that work for some month and now don’t work anymore with the update of the game. Thanks, next time I will download my game on webesite that I can have it for free.

GTA as we all know great game that is not the reason for 1 star. The game used to work amazing but after updating the latest version and updating my Macbook Pro 15 Retina to Yosemite I can not get the game to work.I have deleted and re downloaded from the app store multipul times with no success. I want my money back!

One of the best games, although the in game audio for some reason plays at a low pitch. No matter how many times I re install it won’t go away

nice to see gta san. at mac :D i downloaded it and played…BUT there are few things that isnt soo great…1-you cannot use cheats..almost everyplayers wants to use cheats while they arent playing mission …i think thats a (-) i always loved the cheat codes of gta san. because there were high jumping -no cops cheats etc and new gta series doesnt have these type of cool cheats.... 2-graphics are good for an old game but it sometimes freezes for 1 second and contunious …. this happens very usually… i think an upgrade can change these things :D

Saved games not loading now. WTF?

on loading saved game it just crashes. Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00000000 at address 0x00467c5f. Do you wish to debug it ? just WOW.

I let this game download for over 12 hours and after it was done, it told me it couldn’t be opened and that I had to redownload. I have waited another 3 hours and am extremely fustrated. It’s not my wifi and my computer is up to date. Fix this or refund me. :(

Use tracks have not been working for me. Please fix this. I made sure the files were in wav form, but they are not working.

I recently got a new laptop and installed this game again (for free, because I had it before). When I loaded it and went into the settings, I attempted to change the resolution that the game played in but ended up hitting something with a mini display on screen and glitched the game. I deleted the game, reinstalled it and opened it up, only to see nothing on my screen except my desktop. The game, indeed, was on and playing the intro sequences (with accompanying music), but it was 1) unresponsive and 2) never actually came up on screen. I’m not sure what to do with this app.

what a joke - this is total trash - no idea why anyone bothers leaving a long review.

I’v had this game for a while now, and for some reason there is a continuous black screen. I get to the main menu, and i click play, it loads, then there is jsut a black screen. I press command q, nothing works I keep doing that and nothing happenes. I have to turn my laptop off by hold down the power button, and people say thats very bad but there is no other way for me to quit the game. I tryed play a new game but the same black screen keeps coming up. I upgraded my RAM and it still gives me the black screen. At this point im just going to delete this game and play sleeping dogs.

my old macbook 2010 mid ran this game fine when i was like ten with good graphics and hours of fun. I tried to play it but it broke and yeah :/ Still a great game
