Pretty simple… game won’t load previously saved games thus renderring the game unplayable and useless. Rockstar should fix this immediately or refund everybody that paid for a game that does not work.

The update that made this game unplayable was released over 2 months ago. For there to be no response or update in 2 months is unacceptable. I’ve tried contacting support and have gotten nowhere. Rock Star needs to get this problem fixed or refund all purchases. This is a great game when it works, but if it doesn’t and it continues to not work, why does Rock Star still have my money?

"So You Say Fixed bugs under the description of 1.0.3, well u didn’t fix any bug. you created even worse ones. every time i try to open saved progress, i get a black screen. i went so far, and i don’t want to restart the game. please make a new update to fix this bug.” I know i wrote this a few days ago, but this bug has been for months, and rockstar doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it. it’s hard to write support at rockstar’s website because i have to sign in. this is a problem, because nobody seems to be answering any questions or doing something. please notify us if the update is coming soon, we want a new update to fix the savegame problem!

They need to fix this black screen bs, when im trying to load my game. Pretty sure its against the law to advertise and sell a product that doesnt do as advertised.

Great Game with a great story I just wish there were some newer versions for mac as well.

AFTER THIS UPDATE THE GAME KEEPS CRASHING I CANT PLAY ANY OF MY SAVED GAMES!

Game is unplayable. Everytime I try to open it, either on my iMac or MacBook it crashes immediately after logo screen. This update is a total waste. I really wish I could get my money back and spend it on something thtat I could actually play. I would avoid this at all costs until they update it to a version that works.

Great game, love playing it. But ever since the last update I haven’t been able to get past the load screen. I click on one of my saved games and it just goes to a blank screen. Not only that, but I’ve noticed they’ve raised the price! If you’re thinking about buying this, wait until they come up with a fix before wasting your money.

I have spent $15 on this and the least I would expect FOR A 10 YEAR OLD GAME is that it wouldn’t crash. Unbelieveable. I’m don’t see how a game older than my nieces and nephew would be this unstable on a current mbp on osx 10.10. Uninstalled to the original version. Must say, the game itself is still beast, love how I can be nostalgic on OS X.

Literally i just installed it and it gives me a terrible error “Exceptions raised” and debugging it or not does NOTHING

Any time I try to load the saved game, it will end at black screen. This has happened for more than four months.

Hey Rockstar! Can you please fix this horrible update that literally breaks the game? I’m having the same problem as others— I can’t load my previously saved games. The screen goes black and/or it crashes the game. This really needs to get fixed right now.

Ok all these people who are giving it one star don’t know what a “review” is. A review is where you tell people what the game is about. Its not about your complaint “My game didnt save OMG waaaaaahhhhh”(my game didnt save either). So if you want an actual review ill give you one. The game is ten years old. (The graphics look like the game screenshots)The graphics are amazing for when this game was released.(personally the graphics don’t have to be in HD for me to like a game). Anyways, there is a Story mode and do whatever you want mode. I suggest looking up cheats because they are hilarious and make “do whatever you want mode" a lot more fun. The Story mode is fun too, you can buy clothes for your player along with haircuts, tattoos, and houses. So basically if you want to have the best game on the Mac Store I would strongly suggest you buying this game. Also if your worried about your game not saving I redownloaded this game and it saves fine.

Six months later and still no fix... wow!

newest update doesn’t allow me to play previously saved games, is this common? when i choose a savegame the screen goes black and i can’t quit or switch screens causing me to restart my mac

I have been playing GTA:SA for about 3 hours and saved. Today I tried to play it again and CJ doesn’t walk. Turns out WSAD keys don’t work during the game. Even the key config option, seems like the game itself cannot get the signal of WSAD keys. Thank you so much for letting so many bugs appear on pc and mac, Rockstar

The update completely screwed up my game, it crashes after loading screen. Do not get the update if u can so you will not have the same problem as a lot of us.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a masterpiece, okay. The songs are the most catchiest, most famous of the 1990’s and the 1980’s which really fits in the games setting (In 1992). The graphics are astonishing for a 10 year old game. Every mission is fun or enjoyable in some way. I have had this game for about 3 years now on Macintosh and Playstation 2 for 8 years. Everything ran beautifully on the Mac version too. I have beaten the game and have had a ton of fun doing it. I beat San Andreas on Mac just before this crappy new update came out and ever since, I have not been able to play my saved game. I just beat the game man, come on. I really want to play the game. I payed $20.00 for it when it came out for Mac, without having to restart or anyhting like that. I tried making a new game to put in a different save slot, but when I even try to load the game, it just stays on a black screen and I eventually have to restart my computer. Please fix this update soon so I can play my game. Thank you, and I hope you agree with me.
