Something Wrong With The Game

I recently got a new laptop and installed this game again (for free, because I had it before). When I loaded it and went into the settings, I attempted to change the resolution that the game played in but ended up hitting something with a mini display on screen and glitched the game.
I deleted the game, reinstalled it and opened it up, only to see nothing on my screen except my desktop. The game, indeed, was on and playing the intro sequences (with accompanying music), but it was 1) unresponsive and 2) never actually came up on screen. I’m not sure what to do with this app.
